Revision Complete + A personal thought

Hard work, hard work and persistence. Never giving up, never letting go. I’m so proud of my new revision. My main character, Callie, is telling the story herself. I feel it is so much better this way! I’m so happy to announce that it is finished and published.  I really hope you enjoy the story!

Available on Amazon!

I’m currently formatting Book 2 into kindle/nook form which is a process when you can’t devote 24 hours into doing it. It should be completed by next week. (Week of July 29th)

I love what I do. It’s not as easy as having an idea and writing it down. It’s outlining (used to despise this but now it is my bff), 2nd, 3rd and even 4th drafts. Writing is editing and more editing. Reading, re-reading, feedback and then the monster that is marketing. It’s an entire process and you really have to be dedicated to get it done. But when it’s all completed, you can’t help but feel proud of what you’ve accomplished. And I am so proud of myself. I still have soooo much to learn. I learn something new every single day.

This is writing.

Have a wonderful day and happy reading!

My Decision for Revision

Charlie’s New Sister came out and I am just so proud about how it turned out! I wrote it in 3rd person and was happy, but halfway through a magical little light came on. Wouldn’t this story be better if Charlie told it? And it SO was! I was able to add little comments like ‘Ew! That was totally gross!’ and things like that. Best of all, Charlie had a voice. She wasn’t just some character someone was talking about, she was real. She was someone with fears and worries and I was able to tap into that.

So I got to thinking…and thinking and thinking. What if Callie was able to tell what happened at Camp Eerie through her point of view? I tested the waters and rewrote the first chapter. Not to toot my own horn, but toot! It sounded fabulous! So in my free time (what little I have of it) I started revising every chapter. Words moved around but the story stayed the same and flowed even better. So I decided that no one else should get the original copy of the story anymore and pulled it off  of the “shelves”.

I’m almost done the revision and I’m very excited. I can’t wait for everyone to read it and love Callie even more.

That’s all there is to it! A few more weeks and it’ll be back on sale. That’s my Camp Eerie promise!!

JUNE 2013

Charlie’s New Sister AVAILABLE on Amazon.Com!!!

So exciting!! I am so proud of Book 3. I have grown as a writer and learned so many new things I feel that it shows in this fun story! I feel like Charlie and her “new sister” are real and I tend to think about their reactions to events that happen in real life. I was so sad to stop writing them, but they will be around for Book 4 when the girls finally go back to camp! I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I’ve enjoyed writing it!

April 2013!

Woo! I had an adventurous month! Two rounds of edits and then my keyboard malfunctions. I must have been using it a little too much! After over a week with no editing, my computer has finally been fixed. So now I’m back and in the final round of edits. A few weeks ago I got myself two wonderful models and we shot the cover. I have so many great shots it’s going to be really hard to decide which one I’ll use. I cannot wait for the book release! I’m planning a free giveaway on my facebook page during the launch and Lord willing I’ll be able to have my first book release party. Wayyy overdue! Notice the extra ‘y”s in that Way! Everything is coming together and I’m just so proud of myself for actually getting things done! To those who have been waiting a YEAR for the 3rd book, a massive THANK YOU for being so patient. It was a year of drafts, rewrites and finalization’s. So keep up with me on Twitter if you haven’t been following me and keep checking out my books FB page for more updates. Thanks for following me! Mwah!!!

Update on Book 3!

Hi there! I’m so happy to report that I have completed 15 chapters to Book 3! I’m at the climactic ending which is pretty much the best part to write. I’ve gotten closer to the characters Charlie and Sheila and I really connect with them. After I complete the book it will be going into the editing phase. It’s not the most fun to do, but it absolutely needs to be done! Towards the ending of the editing phase, I’ll be hard at work on setting up the cover and overall look of the book. On a personal note, this one is my favorite of the series by far. Hang tight! It will all be done in the right time. I’m looking at a summertime release. Did I mention how excited I am? I’M EXCITED!

If you have a twitter account, be sure to follow me. I update often and you can keep up with the status of Book 3! Thanks for tuning in during my writing adventures! Happy reading!

New, New, New!

Been soooo busy lately with life in general, but I love spending time with my characters. I’ve finally finished the first chapter of Book 3 in my Camp Eerie series. I can’t wait to shape up chapter 2. I’m horrible with writing outlines and this story definitely needs a more organized one! I’ve got a book signing lined up in October and I’m still trying to figure out how to properly add in cool things to the website. It’s hard to balance promotion and writing, it’s like you have to stop one for a while and focus on the other, which I despise. So Book 3 suffered because of all the promotion for Books 1 and 2. After my book signing, I’m going to be devoting my free time to my story. I’ve gotten a few requests for the third one! Thanks for stopping by and checking in!!
