Revision Complete + A personal thought

Hard work, hard work and persistence. Never giving up, never letting go. I’m so proud of my new revision. My main character, Callie, is telling the story herself. I feel it is so much better this way! I’m so happy to announce that it is finished and published.  I really hope you enjoy the story!

Available on Amazon!

I’m currently formatting Book 2 into kindle/nook form which is a process when you can’t devote 24 hours into doing it. It should be completed by next week. (Week of July 29th)

I love what I do. It’s not as easy as having an idea and writing it down. It’s outlining (used to despise this but now it is my bff), 2nd, 3rd and even 4th drafts. Writing is editing and more editing. Reading, re-reading, feedback and then the monster that is marketing. It’s an entire process and you really have to be dedicated to get it done. But when it’s all completed, you can’t help but feel proud of what you’ve accomplished. And I am so proud of myself. I still have soooo much to learn. I learn something new every single day.

This is writing.

Have a wonderful day and happy reading!

My Decision for Revision

Charlie’s New Sister came out and I am just so proud about how it turned out! I wrote it in 3rd person and was happy, but halfway through a magical little light came on. Wouldn’t this story be better if Charlie told it? And it SO was! I was able to add little comments like ‘Ew! That was totally gross!’ and things like that. Best of all, Charlie had a voice. She wasn’t just some character someone was talking about, she was real. She was someone with fears and worries and I was able to tap into that.

So I got to thinking…and thinking and thinking. What if Callie was able to tell what happened at Camp Eerie through her point of view? I tested the waters and rewrote the first chapter. Not to toot my own horn, but toot! It sounded fabulous! So in my free time (what little I have of it) I started revising every chapter. Words moved around but the story stayed the same and flowed even better. So I decided that no one else should get the original copy of the story anymore and pulled it off  of the “shelves”.

I’m almost done the revision and I’m very excited. I can’t wait for everyone to read it and love Callie even more.

That’s all there is to it! A few more weeks and it’ll be back on sale. That’s my Camp Eerie promise!!
